About
What is Vayuh?
Vayuh is a community driven ecological token with the purpose to educate, investigate and mitigate poor indoor air quality.
Why was Vayuh created?
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. Health effects from indoor air pollutants may be experienced soon after exposure or, possibly, years later. People spend over 90 percent of their time indoors hence understanding and controlling common pollutants indoors can help reduce risk of indoor health concerns.
While there is tons of research out there in IAQ, the field itself remains unregulated. This is primarily due to lack of indoor air quality data. We believe a good indoor air quality repository can be the policy tool needed to bring regulation.
Vayuh token was created to solve this by using blockchain to create an immutable database of indoor air quality data.
How does Vayuh token work?
Vayuh token has three functions.
Educate user
Data Creation
Drive Research
Users are encouraged to download our free app and integrate any third party indoor air quality device available in the market. The app will educate the user about their indoor air quality. Users who opt to share their indoor air quality data will earn Vayuh token as a reward. In addition, users will have the opportunity to learn more about indoor air, take quizzes and compete to earn tokens.
In addition to educating users and creating an immutable indoor air quality database, a key function of the Vayuh token will be to continue encouraging some of the awesome research being conducted in this field. Vayuh will do this by providing research grants to researchers in various universities and organizations. Vayuh will also provide Integration grants for small businesses to develop devices compatible with our app. Finally, Vayuh will also provide Social grants to projects that are socially aimed at addressing indoor air quality.
Individual and organizations can apply for grants directly on our website.
